Three numbers, clearly separated.

  1. Original plan keeps your estimated item costs, delivery, tax and full reserve.
  2. Actual spent adds only purchased rows' all-in receipt amounts.
  3. Forecast replaces purchased estimates with actuals, then adds unpurchased estimates and their remaining reserve.

A little breathing room.

Contingency is money held aside, not money spent. The forecast reserve applies only to unpurchased costs, including their estimated tax and delivery. It is never taxed again. Choose a reserve that suits your project; this tool supplies no market prices or recommended rates.

Planning estimate only. Tax rules, invoices and quotes can differ; confirm them with the seller or professional. The tool uses no remote API, analytics or tracking and does not upload entries. Product links open only when you choose them. The host blog may have its own cookies or analytics. JSON backups and CSV files contain your entries and links; keep them somewhere private.
